Polished for Days: Sweater Weather Collection

Hi loves! It's been a while since I posted a collection review, so I'm here today with my thoughts, swatches, and nail art of the Polished for Days Sweater Weather Collection. The collection came out last November for Black Friday, but it's still available on the PFD website! If you're on the fence about buying any of them, I hope this blog post can help you make a decision :)

As always, official descriptions of polishes are taken off of the brand's website. I bought this collection with my own money, and all thoughts are my own.

Let's get to it!

Flannel

First up is Flannel, a gorgeous holiday red. The polish is described as a deep red base packed with red-orange-green metallic shifting iridescent microflakes.

Flannel had a fantastic formula - the metallic sheen is really gorgeous, and the polish builds up well. Definitely one of my go-tos for holiday manis now! Also, take a look at that macro - this polish really gets me.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat. I also added some nail art using Flannel and Zoya's Nico - a sweater skittle to commemorate the name of this polish❤️

Peppermint

Peppermint is described as a bright red/orange base packed with pink-yellow shifting iridescent shimmer.

This polish glows in person - definitely one of those PFD polishes that look stunning and bright in all lightings. This polish leans more red than orange in my personal opinion, but the orange tint is probably what helps it be a glowier polish. The tint is also visible in the macro, in some more extreme lighting. As always, the formula was fantastic and easy to work with.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat. The nail art featured was inspired by Lunar New Year - I stamped a simple design using UberChic's Art Deco Chic plate, Painted Polish's Stamped in Slate, and Maniology's Bam! White.

Blue Spruce

Next up is another glowy polish - Blue Spruce. Blue Spruce is described as a teal base packed with yellow/green-blue shifting iridescent shimmer.

I think I was a little confused by this polish at first because I expected it to be heavily blue based on the name😅. In photos this polish leans heavily green, almost in a metallic lime green tint, but the polish leans more teal in most in-person lighting. Definitely another shifty polish from Polished for Days, and again another easy to work with formula.

Snowdrop

Snowdrop is described as a purple base packed with silver to green metallic shifting iridescent microflakes.

Oh. My. Gosh. This polish completely blew me away - the metallic flake finish is so gorgeous, and the polish literally glows. I couldn't stop staring at my nails when I wore this one - she's been on my cindy hand too, so you know she's a stunner! Formula was, as always, impeccable. This polish is also very forgiving on brush strokes.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat. The nail art featured is an abstract design using UberChic's Art Deco Chic plate and Painted Polish Stamped in Terra Cotta, Stamped in Denim, and Midnight Mischief.

Sugar Plum

The next gorgeous stunner is Sugar Plum, and Sugar Plum is described as a sheer light purple base packed with orange-yellow-green shifting iridescent flakes and holographic flakes.

The flakes in this polish built up really well, and the polish is jam packed with them. I absolutely loved this color - the soft purple paired with the warm toned flakes gives such an ethereal look. With these types of flakie polishes, I tend to gravitate towards layering them with a few layers to deepen the flakie effect.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat. The nail art feature is a springy floral design using Maniology's Cinnablush, Sweet Berry, and Restless Dahlia, paired with UberChic's Woodland Chic 2 plate.

Echor

Last but definitely not least, we have Echor, the other flakie polish from this collection. Echor is a sheer teal jelly base with yellow-orange-green and blue-purple shifting iridescent flakes and holographic flakes.

The flakie polishes from this collection were seriously off the charts - Echor is another gorgeous stunner that sparkles so beautifully on your nails. The polish is again, jam packed with flakes that are easy to get out and lie flat upon application, and layering these flakes really give a deep and gorgeous look. With the blue tones to this polish, there's a bit of a sparkly aquarium effect - at least, that's what I think of!

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
