Weekly Mani Recap: Sept-2 2020

Happy mid-September! My school semester has been flying by, and it's crazy to think we're already halfway through September. I have a lot of looks from this past week to share, so let's get to it!

My first three manis this week are all leaf themed, but colored with different seasons! First up is a fall-themed negative space mani using Nut'n Better by Cupcake Polish, a nutty brown holographic polish perfect for the fall, and leaf nail art stickers from Born Pretty Store.

Next up is a winter-themed stamped mani using Baby It's Cold Outside by Glam Polish, a pinkish taupe polish with red aurora shimmer and holographic microglitters, as a base. I stamped using a leaf image from Pueen Cosmetics's nail art stamping set 25F and two stamping polishes from Painted Polish - Stamped in Slate, a chalky grey stamping polish, and Autumn Twilight 2.0, a dark eggplant stamping polish. I think the darker, more muted colors definitely make the mani have a more wintery feeling!

To take a break between the leaf series, I did a pink-themed camouflage mani, freehanded using a dotting tool. The colors I used are WakeMake (a Korean makeup brand) Linen Pink, a light pink creme, and Mauve Brown, a sandy and cool-toned beige nude, Painted Polish's Autumn Twilight 2.0, and Glam Polish's Baby It's Cold Outside.

For the last in my leaf series, I did a summer-colored palm leaf mani using Ella + Mila's Island Hopping, a dark teal-green creme, and China Glaze's Celtic Sun, a neon yellow jelly-like polish. I stamped the leaf image and added dots using Island Hopping and a stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.

Last up for this week is a pink and teal holographic mani! The holo is strong with this one, and I used Painted Polish's Seaside Soiree, a blue-leaning teal with holographic microglitters, and Girly Bits Cosmetics's Prototype #3295, a medium pink base with holographic microglitters. I sponged the two together to create a gradient-like blob design with the two colors.

A lot of nail art in this post - thanks for reading, and have a great week!

XOXO,

Lauren
