Hello there, and welcome to my new blog! As mentioned above, my name is Lauren and I am @LLAURENAILS on Instagram.

About Me
I'm currently a full time student living in California. As a SoCal resident, I'm constantly exposed to sunny skies and pretty days, so many of my daytime photos will have beautiful lighting. 
I've always loved nail polish and doing my nails since I was a child, but I only recently took up seriously doing nail art. I began my Instagram account in February of 2016, and since then I've done nail art more times than I can count. I've loved every minute of it, though, and nail art is a fantastic channel for me to relieve my academic-induced stress. I also love that nail art is a way to do low-commitment art, since I love to create art as well. The teeny tiny canvases that are on my fingers are great places for me to do small design works in a short amount of time. 

What is this blog for?
Here, I will be posting multiple shots of my nail art, including written step by step instructions on how I created each of my designs. I will continue to post video tutorials for my designs on my Instagram account, but for the designs that I will be unable to film, there will be tutorials for them included here. Additionally, swatches of polishes, reviews of products, and other miscellaneous fun whatnots will be present. 

Why start a blog?
I've always enjoyed sharing my art, and I thought that starting a blog would be another great way for me to do so. Also, I love writing in journals and diaries, and to me, this nail art blog will be just another, fun type of diary!

Polished for Days: Sweater Weather Collection

 Hi loves! It's been a while since I posted a collection review, so I'm here today with my thoughts, swatches, and nail art of the Polished for Days Sweater Weather Collection. The collection came out last November for Black Friday, but it's still available on the PFD website! If you're on the fence about buying any of them, I hope this blog post can help you make a decision :) As always, official descriptions of polishes are taken off of the brand's website. I bought this collection with my own money, and all thoughts are my own. Let's get to it! Flannel First up is Flannel, a gorgeous holiday red. The polish is described as a deep red base packed with red-orange-green metallic shifting iridescent microflakes.  Flannel had a fantastic formula - the metallic sheen is really gorgeous, and the polish builds up well. Painted Polish: Pumpkin Spice & Chill Trio

 Hello hello! Last fall, I purchased the Pumpkin Spice & Chill trio from Painted Polish, but I didn't get around to swatching and wearing it until now. I know it's a bit late for fall-themed and fall colored manicures to be in season, but I hope you enjoy these looks anyways! As far as I'm aware, this trio is sold out on Painted Polish's website, but maybe this post will help if you decide to snag one or two of these in a destash! Descriptions of each polish were taken from Painted Polish's website/Instagram. Pumpkin Spice 4 Life First up in the trio is Pumpkin Spice 4 Life. Pumpkin Spice 4 Life is described as a delicate pumpkin spice holo with crushed gold flakes and a scattering of holographic glitters. The formula on the polish was easy to work with. Charity Box Collab: Art Glass for Autism (April)

In this post, I'll be sharing swatches and nail art of the Jen & Berries April Charity Box collab polish. The inspiration theme for this month's Charity Box was art glass, and proceeds will go to a charity that benefits Autism support/awareness. P.S. Jen & Berries: It's the New Style It's the New Style is described as an aquaish holographic base with aqua shimmer and microglitter with silver and black holographic microglitters. The inspiration for this polish was a  photo that the maker took of the "New Glass" exhibit at the Corning Museum of Glass.
